Wasabi

$30.00
Sold Out

Wasabia japonica

We’re excited to finally be able to offer true Japanese Wasabi plants. A familiar accompaniment to sushi and sashimi, Wasabi is a prized condiment prepared from the finely grated rhizomes and stem of the Wasabi plant. While common at restaurants and grocery stores, much of the Wasabi paste sold today in North America is actually an imitation product created using the root of the related horseradish plant. True Wasabi is considered a highly-perishable product and is typically reserved for fresh preparation in fine dining.

Our Wasabi plants are strong, established plants that will be ready for harvest in 3-6 months. Plants naturally grow along streams and so appreciate regular watering and afternoon shade.

Cold hardy to USDA zone 7a, or to 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

For sale are 1 quart potted plants
