Creeping Bramble

$30.00

Rubus tricolor

Creeping Bramble, also known as Chinese Bramble, Himalayan Bramble, and Korean Raspberry, is a rare, ground-covering raspberry species native to southwest China. Unlike most raspberry species, Creeping Bramble is evergreen, thornless, and trailing. Gently layering as they trail along the ground, plants form a thick mat of dark, leathery leaves that are adorned by snowy white flowers in early summer and red, delicious raspberries by midsummer.

This species is larger growing than the related Creeping Raspberry, Rubus pentalobus, reaching up to eighteen inches high. Creeping Bramble will form a large patch with time, but it easy to prune back. Plants are very adaptable from shade to sun, are drought and frost tolerant, and are not particular to soil types.

Cold hardy to USDA zone 6a and above, or to -10 degrees Fahrenheit.
