Fortnight Lily

$30.00

Dietes iridioides

Fortnight Lily, also known as African Iris, is an evergreen iris relative native to southern Africa. Like common Iris, Fortnight Lily grows in dense fans of upright leaves and produces showy, star-shaped, white flowers that are held above the foliage. Unlike Iris, this species is everblooming, producing flushes of flowers in approximately two week cycles. Plants have an upright, grassy appearance and flowers have white petals with purple and yellow throats.

Fortnight Lily is a tough and adaptable plant that will tolerate heat and sun as well as some shade and wet conditions. Plants are rhizomatous and grow up to four feet high and wide. We recommend full or part sun, well-draining soil, and occasional watering.

Cold hardy to USDA zone 8b or to 15 degrees Fahrenheit.

For sale are 1 gallon potted plants
