Glaziou's Fuchsia is an evergreen shrub native to the montane cloud forests of southeastern Brazil. Like many Fuchsia, this species blooms continuously during the growing season and has classic, pendulous, fuchsia-colored sepals and a violet corolla. An easy plant in the garden, Glaziou’s Fuchsia has an upright, arching form and attractive, bronze tinted foliage.
Plants prefer partial sun, regular moisture, and occasional feeding with a balanced fertilizer or compost dressing. Glaziou’s Fuchsia can grow to reach ten feet in height, although six feet is more typical in a garden setting. As with other Fuchsia, the berries are edible and mild-flavored.
