Giant Leopard Plant

$28.00

Farfugium japonicum var. gigantea

Leopard Plant, sometimes known as Tractor Seat Plant, is a shade-loving evergreen perennial native to the woodlands and stream banks of Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Plants have round, glossy, dark green leaves that are held up like an umbrella on a single stem. The variety gigantea, or ‘Giganteum’, is a large-leaf form that lends a lush, tropical look to the shade garden. If the foliage isn’t enough, showy sprays of yellow, daisy-like flowers appear in late autumn when few other plants are blooming.

Growing up to four feet high and wide, Giant Leopard Plant prefers full or part shade and consistent moisture. While plants prefer a moist site, they can tolerate short dry spells. Plants are evergreen down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit, but the roots are cold hardy to much lower temperatures.

Cold hardy to USDA zone 7a or to 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

For sale are live 1 gallon potted plants
