Mirror Bush, also known as New Zealand Laurel, Looking-glass Plant, or taupata, is a vigorous evergreen shrub native to New Zealand. The common name ‘Mirror Bush’ comes from this plant’s exceptionally glossy leaves, which are an adaptation to sea spray and coastal conditions. These attractive, shiny round leaves and dense habit make this species a popular garden plant for hedges and low-maintenance plantings. Mirror Bush now has many variegated selections available in shades of yellow and red, but we’re offering the standard species which features lime green foliage, and a little extra vigor and hardiness.
Plants typically grow up to eight feet high and wide in garden settings, but can easily be kept smaller through pruning or shearing. Mirror Bush prefers full or part sun and well-draining soil with regular irrigation, although it is drought tolerant when established.
Cold hardy to USDA zone 9a or to 20 degrees Fahrenheit (or slightly lower).
For sale are 1 gallon potted plants
