Myrceugenia exsucca
A rare myrtle relative from South America, Petra can be found growing in the rugged, low altitude interior valleys of the Andes of Chile. Growing to become a small tree, Petra produces sweetly scented, fluffy white flowers that are followed by small red to purple berries.
Introduced by Mike Remmick and Sean Hogan of Oregon, we think this Myrceugenia will fit right in in the collector’s garden. Very limited supply.
Cold hardy to USDA zone 8b and above, or to 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
