Psidium cattleyanum

The Strawberry Guava, also known as the Cattely Guava, is the smaller and hardier cousin to the tropical Guava. Originally native to Brazil, this tree has become popular in many subtropical regions throughout the world. With thick and waxy evergreen leaves, the Strawberry Guava makes an attractive large bush or small tree, reaching up to between 8 and 10 feet in height. The fruit is high quality, having smaller and fewer seeds than the true Guava, with a similar flavor and texture.

Cold hardy to zone 9a and above, or 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
