Coprosma x kirkii ‘Variegata’

Creeping Mirror Plant is a natural hybrid between Coprosma repens and Coprosma acerosa, two evergreen shrubs native to to New Zealand. This hybrid species combines the prostrate habit of C. acerosa‍ with the larger foliage of C. repens, resulting in a handsome, vigorous, low-growing groundcover. We carry a variegated form of this plant which has grey-green foliage with cream-colored margins. Creeping Mirror Plant is useful as a wide, low, evergreen ground cover for sunny areas, banks and slopes, or spilling down walls or rocks.

Growing to just one foot high, Creeping Mirror Plant will reach up to six feet wide with time but responds well to pruning. Plants are adapted to coastal conditions and are tolerant of wind, seaspray, and moderate drought. We recommend full or part sun, good drainage, and occasional watering during the growing season.
