Pepino Melon

$15.00

Solanum muricatum ‘Kendall Gold’

Pepino Melon is a lesser known and delicious Cape Gooseberry and Ground Cherry relative that is just as easy to grow. While in the tomato family, Pepino Melon has a sweet, fruity flavor that tastes quite a lot like Honeydew melon. Plants are naturally compact and self-fruitful; no pollinator needed. Prefers full to part sun, regular moisture, and occasional feeding with a balanced fertilizer.

Cold hardy to USDA Zone 9b or to 25 degrees Fahrenheit.
