Almost Gone!

Citrus glauca X depressa

We’re excited to finally grow the elusive and mysterious citrus hybrid known as ‘Razzlequat’. Originally sold under that name by the now-closed nursery ‘Oregon Exotics’, the fruit is similar in size and flavor to a Kumquat, although the plant has quite unique, lanceolate and serrated foliage and a weeping growth habit. There is conflicting information about the exact species involved in this hybrid, but we are growing this alongside ‘Coachella Eremolemon’ and we do not believe that they are the same.

Trials in Georgia claim that this citrus variety has remarkable cold tolerance, although we cannot confirm that firsthand quite yet. Our plants are definitely moderately frost hardy and may eventually prove to be a cold hardy and palatable citrus variety for more northernly growers. Regardless, this is very distinct and attractive variety that’s worth growing for the interest alone!

For sale are 1 gallon potted plants.

Cold hardy to USDA zones 9a and above or to 20 degrees Fahrenheit.

This plant cannot be shipped to Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, or Texas.
